HDFC Bank

Rs 25,000 floor applies to HDFC salary account holders; Rs 50,000 for everyone else. Bank publishes 720+ as the working credit score threshold on its eligibility page and 750+ is the practical bar for a Rs 20 lakh ticket, which also requires roughly Rs 75,000 net income and a Category A or B employer.
Salary-package product: only for applicants whose salary is credited to an SBI account - mainly central/state government, PSU, defence and select corporate payrolls. Private-sector employees without an SBI salary account are not eligible. EMI/NMI is the explicit published gate: 50% on the standard scheme, up to 65% on Real-Time Xpress Credit which also caps at 30x NMI or Rs 50 lakh, whichever is lower. Government and defence salary package holders get the widest limits and the lowest income floor.
Rs 30,000 net monthly income for salaried, varying by city and employer profile. Self-employed professionals need Rs 15 lakh turnover, non-professionals Rs 40 lakh. Also requires 12 months at the current residence, which is an unusual and frequently missed criterion.
Rs 15,000 floor for Axis customers, Rs 25,000 for non-customers and typically Rs 25,000 in Delhi and Mumbai regardless. Self-employed applicants need 5 years of business vintage, the strictest such requirement among the banks reviewed. Credit score expectation is published at 750, higher than most peers.
Rs 25,000 for Kotak salary account holders, Rs 30,000 for others, Rs 20,000 for Kotak's own employees. Published criteria include a graduation degree, employment with an MNC / public limited / private limited company, and residence in the same city for at least a year.
Published preference is 710+ for salaried and 760+ for self-employed, the widest such gap among the lenders reviewed. FIRSTmoney, the digital variant, advertises a much lower Rs 10,000 salary floor for small tickets. Zero foreclosure charges.
Published CIBIL preference is 701+. Maximum age is retirement age or 60, whichever is lower, extending to 75 for pensioners. Employees of proprietorships, private limited companies, partnerships and trusts qualify with 1 year of continuous service; government, PSU, MNC and educational institution employees on the same 1-year basis. Co-applicants are generally not permitted.
LARGELY INFERRED. PNB does not publish a single consolidated eligibility matrix. The structure modelled here follows the published shape of comparable PSU schemes: employer categories A/B/C, a total deduction ceiling of 50-65% of gross salary depending on category, a cap of roughly 20-24x gross monthly income, and a mandatory salary-credit or employer-undertaking arrangement. Bank of Maharashtra's published personal loan scheme is the closest public analogue and was used as the template.
LARGELY INFERRED. IndusInd does not publish a detailed eligibility matrix comparable to HDFC or ICICI. Values here sit at the private-bank median, which is the defensible default when a lender is silent.

Market-reported
Rs 15,000 minimum monthly income with 1 year total experience and 6 months in the current job. Published credit score expectation of 725 is higher than Bajaj's, so this is not the lender to fall back on when the score is the problem, only when the income floor is.
Publishes 685 as the paperless-approval score and 650 as the floor. Age window runs to 80 at loan maturity, by far the widest here. Income floor is Rs 25,001 nationally but rises to roughly Rs 35,000 in Delhi, Mumbai, Pune, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Ghaziabad, Noida, Thane and Coimbatore. Tenure to 108 months is the longest unsecured tenure in this set.
Aditya Birla Capital's own eligibility page states there is no minimum eligible salary, only that income must be steady, and sets the age band at 21-60. Market-reported floors run Rs 25,000-35,000 depending on city, with a 750 credit score expectation. Where a lender declines to publish a number, LoanFit models the market-reported number and flags it.
Union Personal (salaried, non-government): minimum gross salary Rs 15,000/month (Rs 20,000 in Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, Bengaluru, Ahmedabad and Pune), age 18 to one year before retirement, up to 60 months, Rs 5 lakh for a first-time borrower rising to Rs 15 lakh with a 2-year repayment record (Rs 15 lakh outright under the tie-up scheme). Non-salaried scheme: Rs 5 lakh new / Rs 15 lakh existing, repayment up to age 75. The professional scheme (CA, CS, doctors, engineers, Rs 12 lakh+ income) goes to Rs 20 lakh; the 700 CIBIL floor is published on that scheme. Self-employed income floor (Rs 1.8 lakh p.a.) is not published - a nominal figure so the engine has something to size against. Interest rate is not on the product page; the engine's PSU rate card is used.

Canara Budget - Prime (confirmed central/state government, defence, paramilitary, PSU and autonomous-body employees, max Rs 50 lakh) and Delight (confirmed employees of reputed corporates, MNCs, listed/private companies, institutions and IT/BT firms, max Rs 40 lakh). Quantum is 25 months' gross salary; net take-home after all EMIs must stay above 25% of salary or Rs 10,000, whichever is higher (i.e. a 75% obligation ceiling, the loosest in the panel); minimum 1 year of confirmed service; tenure up to 84 months; processing fee 0.50% (Rs 1,000 to Rs 5,000; 50% waived 1 Jul to 30 Sep 2026); co-obligation of spouse or legal heir. Age, minimum salary and CIBIL score are not published on the product page - the 21 to 60 window and Rs 13,500 floor here are standard assumptions. Rate band is aggregator-reported (BankBazaar), not on the product page. Canara Ready Cash is the stricter digital alternative for existing salaried customers: CIC score 700+, entry age 21 to 55, salary credit of Rs 50,000/month, Rs 50,000 to Rs 10 lakh, 12 to 60 months.

YES Bank's own eligibility page could not be fetched on this pass (HTTP/2 protocol errors on every attempt), so the panel entry is aggregator-corroborated (BankBazaar): age 21 to 60, Rs 1 lakh to Rs 40 lakh, 12 to 60 months, 10.85% to 21%, 700+ score recommended, salaried with a reputed employer priced best. The Rs 25,000 income floor and tenure gates are the private-bank median, not YES Bank-published.
AU Personal Loan: Indian resident, minimum age 21 at application and 65 at maturity, 12 to 60 months, Rs 25,000 up to Rs 15 lakh on the product page (the FAQ on the same page still quotes Rs 10 lakh), no collateral. Bank of India's site is behind a Cloudflare bot check that blocked every fetch on this pass, so Star Personal Loan is aggregator-corroborated (BankBazaar): unsecured up to Rs 5 lakh at 10 times monthly net take-home within 36 EMIs (secured variant Rs 10 lakh, 20 times gross, 60 EMIs), minimum age 18, rates 10.85% secured / MCLR+5.50% unsecured; open to professionals, salaried employees, pensioners and HNIs. INFERRED beyond the age window. IIFL Home Finance publishes only that applicants must be resident Indian citizens aged 18 to 75, salaried or self-employed, that a co-applicant is optional but lifts eligibility, and that income, credit history, employment, property type and value drive the decision. Income floor, amount, tenure and LTV are not published - affordable-housing HFC assumptions and the RBI LTV bands are used. The site was bot-blocked (HTTP 403) on the September 2026 pass and was read from a rendered copy on 17 Sep 2026.
INFERRED. Muthoot's home-loan eligibility page lists the documents below and says a co-applicant, cleared debts and declared additional income improve eligibility, but publishes no age, income, amount, rate or tenure thresholds - affordable-housing NBFC assumptions used.

Two photographs per applicant; identity, address and age proof (passport / voter ID / driving licence / PAN / Aadhaar / utility bill / birth certificate)
Salaried: 3 months' salary slips, Form 16, ITR for 2 years, 6 months' bank statements showing salary credits, employer letter
Self-employed: business existence proof, ITR for 2 years, balance sheet and CA-attested P&L for 2 years
Property: sale deed, payment receipts, allotment letter, builder / society NOC, encumbrance certificate, tax receipts, approved plan
One of the strictest published turnover bars in the market at Rs 40 lakh, plus 3 years in the current business and 5 years total business experience, and profit in each of the last 2 years.
INFERRED. SBI's SME lending is largely collateral-linked and scheme-driven (SME Smart Score, Asset Backed Loan, MUDRA) rather than a single published unsecured programme. Thresholds here approximate the common shape of those schemes and should be treated as an estimate, not policy.

ICICI runs an explicit GST-returns-based working capital programme where the limit is sized off filed GST turnover with auto-fetch of returns, bank statements and ITR acknowledgement. If you file GST cleanly, this is one of the fastest routes to a limit.

Tata Capital

Official
Tata Capital publishes the most accessible bar in this set: age 21-65, CIBIL 700+, minimum annual turnover in the Rs 10-40 lakh range depending on lender and ticket, and 1-3 years of business vintage with a record of profitability. It also states a sub-700 score can still work if vintage and turnover are strong or a guarantor is added.
States a 3-year vintage requirement with a preferred CIBIL of 650+, and indicative pricing of 14-23% p.a. Explicitly says early-stage businesses under 3 years generally do not qualify for competitive unsecured pricing and should look at startup or GST-based products.

IND DIGI MSME: brown-field units with at least 12 months' vintage, active GSTIN, ITR and 12 months' bank statements mandatory, promoter CIBIL 730+ (CMR 1-6 for the entity), positive net worth; limits above Rs 10 lakh up to Rs 5 crore (Rs 20 lakh where ITR is filed under presumptive taxation), 20% margin on stock and book debts, CGTMSE cover or 100% collateral. Assessed by the bank's digital business-rule engine. The Rs 10 lakh turnover figure is a floor implied by the Rs 10 lakh minimum ticket, not a published number. The smaller Pre-Approved Business Loan (Rs 1-10 lakh, fixed 36 months, age 21-70, CIBIL 730+) is only for existing current-account customers with 12 months' transactions.
Bandhan Aspiring Business Loan: self-employed professionals and non-professionals aged 23 to 65 at maturity with at least 2 years of business vintage; above Rs 3 lakh up to Rs 1 crore (an older brochure said Rs 25 lakh - the current page governs), working-capital, term or composite, up to 5 years; unsecured 13.00% to 25.91% (secured 11.69% to 15.18%); processing up to 2%. Turnover and score are not published - nominal Rs 10 lakh turnover and 750 preferred; documents scale with the loan amount.

AU Business Loan (business banking FAQ): minimum age 21, at least 3 years in the same line of business, minimum loan Rs 10 lakh, open to individuals, proprietorships, partnerships, LLPs, companies (promoters holding 51%+), trusts and societies; residential, commercial or industrial property and liquid securities are accepted as collateral where required. Tickets under Rs 10 lakh route to the Micro Business Loan (from Rs 2 lakh, secured and unsecured variants, self-employed professionals and non-professionals), which is why the floor here is Rs 2 lakh. Maximum age, turnover, score, amount cap and tenure are not published - 65 at maturity, a nominal Rs 10 lakh turnover, 750 preferred and a Rs 50 lakh / 60-month sizing window are standard assumptions (AU's secured business loans run 1 to 15 years).
HDB unsecured Business Loan: individuals Rs 1 lakh to Rs 7.5 lakh (non-individual entities up to Rs 30 lakh), 12 to 36 months, age 21 at entry and 65 at maturity, 4 years in business with 2 in the same business, minimum annual income Rs 1 lakh (metro) / Rs 75,000 (non-metro), profit-making for the last 2 years. The normal / gross-margin programmes want Rs 2 crore turnover; the surrogate programme accepts 2 years' ITR instead - the Rs 10 lakh turnover gate here is a floor for the surrogate route, not the Rs 2 crore programme bar. Score floor is an NBFC-median assumption.
L&T Finance Business Loan: collateral-free up to Rs 1 crore, 12 to 60 months, rates from 10% (15% headline on the page title), age 24 to 65, turnover Rs 80 lakh to Rs 500 crore, at least 3 years in business, 6 months of credit history, residence or office must be owned, CIBIL 650+ recommended. Documents include 2 years' audited financials, ITR, tax audit reports and 6 months' GST returns.

INFERRED gates. Modelled on Chola's collateral-free CSEL business loan for business owners: up to Rs 35 lakh over up to 60 months, no collateral or external guarantor, identity / address / income / business proof - the page publishes no age, income, vintage, turnover or score, so the gates here are NBFC estimates (and the SME loan's 25 to 65 age rule is deliberately not borrowed). The separate secured SME loan is for retailers, wholesalers, manufacturers, distributors and service providers aged 25 to 65 with profit in each of the last 3 financial years, Rs 10 lakh to Rs 5 crore (Rs 20 crore on the secured term-loan card), 2 years of financials and ITR, 6 months of bank statements and GST returns, property or equipment collateral, fixed or floating rate, no pre-closure charge.

Shriram Business Loan: from Rs 1 lakh, age 21 to 65, self-employed individuals or business owners with at least 3 years' business experience; unsecured tenure up to 48 months (84 secured). The page states loans are offered regardless of business size or credit score, with tailored products for low-turnover and new businesses - so no score gate is applied; the Rs 10 lakh turnover floor and Rs 50 lakh cap are modelling assumptions.
Poonawalla Fincorp Business Loan: collateral-free up to Rs 1 crore, up to 60 months, age 24 to 65, minimum business vintage 2 years, minimum annual turnover Rs 6 lakh, processing fee up to 3%; open to self-employed professionals, manufacturers and traders. Score floor is an NBFC-median assumption.
IIFL Business Loan (eligibility FAQ): self-employed applicants aged 23 to 65, CIBIL score over 700, business not blacklisted, unsecured up to Rs 75 lakh. The general FAQ asks for 6 months of operation while sole proprietors need 2 years - since most individual applicants are proprietors the 2-year figure is applied. The calculator runs 1 to 3 years at 12% to 28%. Minimum ticket and turnover are not published - a nominal Rs 1 lakh floor and Rs 20 lakh turnover are used.
Every lender rule on this site carries one of three labels, so you always know how much to trust it:
OfficialThe lender's published rule. We read it off the lender's own website, and the card links to that page.
Market-reportedReported, not confirmed. Loan-comparison sites agree on the figure, but the lender's own page either does not state it or could not be read. Usually right, occasionally out of date.
InferredOur estimate, not the lender's policy. The lender does not publish this rule at all. We filled the gap using what similar lenders publish, RBI norms and standard Indian underwriting practice. The lender's real cut-off may be stricter or looser. Use it to decide whether a lender is worth approaching, not as a promise of what they will accept.
Even an Official rule can mix in a few assumptions, for example where a bank publishes its age limits but not its income floor. Each card's note says exactly which figures are the lender's and which are ours. We would rather show you an honest estimate, clearly labelled, than a confident-looking number we cannot back up.
